So I posted earlier how we got a cam with stock tune,stock airbox,stock pulleys.Then I posted an exta 26-28rwhp and torque with stock manifolds and stock catback exhaust and the above mods...

Well here is how we did it - ADM 2.5" STAINLESS STEEL OFFROAD DOWNPIPES

6 SPEED AUTO DYNO

6 SPEED AUTO INSTALL

Minimum gains of 18 rwhp and torque have been observed on both automatic camaro ss and manual shift ls3 ss.The system is 22 lbs lighter than the factory cat system.20 MINUTE INSTALL ON A LIFT.30 minute install on the ground.Tools required-3/8 Rachet,24"3/8" extension,15mm swivel socket,15mm deep socket,7/8 or 22 mm 02 sensor wrench and small jackstands,1 can of penetrating lubricant,preferably a cool engine bay.Total bolt to loosen and remove is 8.Slip fit rear and 2 bolts on each side from up top.

This system is not emmisions legal and should only be installed at the track or at dyno events.Your warranty could be voided if you run these on your car.ADM is not responsible for any damage,codes or warranties voided by the install of these downpipes.The buyer accepts all terms of sale when purchasing from ADM PERFORMANCE website.

Kit includes mandrel bent stainless pipes,flanges,gaskets,bolts,dual o2 sensor bungs.Cat effiecency codes will be present when using these,the tune will also lean out .6-.8 gaining you power.

So the downpipe is basically a cat delete? Sounds pretty good to me

On all SS platform vehicles that I work on(trailblazer ss,camaro ss,hhr ss) they use a straight through design muffler,in other words no baffles.
We have many in the shop to show this.Gm uses the cats to reduce most of the sound in these cars,hence having 4 cats and 2 presilencers on the ss 6 spd manual and 4 cats and a center muffler on the 6 speed auto.

This is why Nick at american racing said the factory mufflers sound great with headers,they really do..Per our dyno.

How come you guys didn't run it to 6200 rpm?

Nice gains. Is this the first automatic (L99) SS dyno'ed?

I will have to go back and look,Probably a speed limiter.

It was forced scaling turned off when I printed it.Woops...does not make the numbers any different.
