RS package worth it?

For a 1LT the halo lights and bigger tires/rims sound like a good deal.

But what about the cost down the road to replace the RS tires? The back wheels are bigger than the front wheels so you can't rotate them. This sounds like an unnecessary $800 or so in a few years when the tires wear out.

Also I assume the halo lights will be much more expensive to replace than the stock ones?

You don't have to get the same tires when it comes time to replace them. Personally I will be breaking away from the Pirellis when it's time.
Are you talking about the light housing or bulb? The HIDs last quite a bit longer than your average halogen.

+1. Worth it if you want the features.

I know the price is fine for $1750 now with the features. But in a couple years after the tires wear out I will have to buy new ones instead of rotating them which is going to cost more money and also the HID lights are more expensive?

So really are we looking at $3k+ for the RS package? Or am I wrong here? I really don't know much about cars that's why I am asking.

Its never a question of "what it's worth".....If it's what you WANT,then the price is always worth it.

RS is definitely worth it on the LT. I priced out tires I think 20's can be had for 225 to 300. But if you get the 21in option the cheapest tire is 450.

Rims, tires, halos, moldings, darker rear lens, and RS badges = $1,750

AM rims/tires alone are about that..

As long as the housing for the HID's stay intact, they will last longer then you will own the car so replacing them is pretty much not a concern.

For tires, look around your local tire stores. You can find tires fitting the Camaro for $100-$150 a tire which is no more expansive than any other car.

Not being able to rotate the tires really isn't that much more expansive. You will only need to replace your front tires once for every 2 times you replace the rears depending on how many burnouts you do. So you are really just buying an extra 2 tires in the same times frame as you would have if you rotated them.

why cant you rotate them are the rims inset or different sizes? My 86 TA has inset rims on the front so I could rotate them either, just side to side. I just wouldnt get the 21inch tire option thats going to cost you, specially how these kinds of tires are only rated for 20k, and at best you will get 15k on them
