A bit too tall for my SS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok I picked up my IOM 2SS with the sunroof on Saturday and I love it. The only problem I have is when I test drove it I had a hat on so I didn't notice I was too tall. Now that I drove to work this morning my hair rubs all against the headliner. I tried dropping the seat all the way down and leaning it back as far as I felt safe and my head still rubs. I even slouch a bit but it is still a problem. Unless I really REALLY slouch my hair get's all static charged by the end so it sticks straight up and thats not a good thing for meetings all day in the office.

Any ideas? Is there any mods I can do to drop it a little lower?

I know the feeling- I really wanted a sunroof until I sat in one that had a sunroof and knew it was game over. At 6'9" a Camaro w/ a sunroof is a no go. Not that any of my imput helps you...

Damn! I didn't think someone your height could even fit in the non-sunroof coupe!

As for the OP, sorry to hear about your predicament. I don't think there is anything you can do to the seat that wouldn't end up interfering with some of the crash safety stuff.

Tilt your seat back a little.

i assume you have the seat set all the way down.the sun roof lowers your head room about 2 inches.

Well I'm glad every one though of the super original "cut your hair" response... That's constructive... Seriously it's all good thanks for the input all the same we all need a laugh in the morning. So there is no mods I can do to drop the seat down at all? Dammit...
