Check engine light after installing cold air intake!! >=[

dammit the stupid CEL came on 50 miles after i installed a spectre cold air intake. on star did a diagnostic and pulled up codes for the car running lean at cruise and idle and the air fuel ratio isnt correct. anybody know a solution to this problem? i know everything is working fine because its obvious that a intake sucks in more air therefor there is more air going in the chamber than fuel. the CEL is annoying and i want to get rid of it.

any suggestions?

Back to stock or get a tune. Running lean is bad.

unplug battery for half hour to an hour reinstall let idle for 5 mins. should be good to go. just needs to do a learning session which you might have not done to start with. if it comes back on definatly have it checked out. had the same problem with my ported throttle body, no biggie everything workes fine.

no, just a matter of giving it enough time to reset the fuel trims and air sensors. I don't have an exact time I think I got by with an half hour wait maybe 1 hour

Worth looking at. They have an arrow that shows the correct direction.

Check your install...go over everything, make sure everything is tight and aligned properly.
