Funny thing is, this time will be published in a hot rod magazine article.

I know how keen you are on published magazine times. I'm curious as to the excuse you will have as to why this magazine time cant be trusted.

Here is the stuff I like......

Ok so right now the DA at most fast tracks is awesome!! ECOBOOST ran in -1300 da and is the only other I have seen post up 119mph bone stock in a 2018 GT now check the slip against Evan. Now some would say well he is not as good a driver as evan...and that maybe true.

EVAN..........ECOBOOST
1.88.............1.93.........-0.05
7.72.............7.97.........-0.25
95.2.............93.2..........-2.0
11.83...........12.14........-0.31
119.51.........119.05......-0.46

now lets compare evans to lunds car which we know they have a good driver.

EVAN...............LUND
1.88...............1.87....+0.01
7.72...............7.84....-0.012 ????????
95.2...............93.5....-1.7 ???????????
11.83.............12.00...-0.17 ??????????
119.51............118.4...-1.1 ???????????

lund's car on a drag pack and no air filter went 1.87 60ft and 11.91@120.0

Evans slip vs LMR drag pack, weight reduction, tune, exhaust mods

1.88..............1.84.....+0.03
7.72..............7.77.....-0.05 ????
95.2..............92.82...-2.4 ?????
11.83............11.88...-0.05 ?????
119.51...........119.8..+0.03

Im not hating on anyone's times.

What I have noticed in the mustang community is that because everyone and their dog has a coyote most terms like "stock" and "street car" are drastically skewed. Hell they are so determined to make a name for themselves they break down which street tire they are on and which gas station they filled up at.....

"oooo I got road huggers with 32psi and filled up at pump 26 over off route 5. You cant compare mine to yours....you filled at pump 27 and are running 30psi."

CONVERSATION WITH ALOT OF COYOTE OWNERS

Do you have any weight reduction?

"nope"

I see you are running open headers

"YEP"

So you don't have any weight reduction?

"nope"

guess the stock exhaust is light as air!

Car and Driver and the like are to be objective in opinion on different brands. Is this forthcoming article going to be in one of the above, or a Mustang magazine? I'm just curious.

And to Ultra, I'm sorry a couple trolls were attacking you when it was me who linked the Facebook list with the 11.77 stock Camaro. Guess they thought this forum and this forum alone contained the be all end all list for every person who has ever taken a 6G to the track, lol !

If the pass is legit then I say congrats and welcome to the party....finally.

The thing that does raise an eyebrow with me is the 6 ft of rubber he caught on the 1-2 shift. I would have to ask the ZL1 guys if they get such a positive shift in their trans (I know the programming is different though).

We can only achieve that type of shifting with a TCM tweak in the A8.

Objective is one thing. Flat out lying is another. I can't honestly believe any magazine out there is going to flat out lie about modding a car and calling it stock. People get fired for less in today's workplace.

Fair enough. I had heard it was for Hot Rod...but a magazine time none the less. Once they publish that this particular car was stock, it will be interesting to see who in here still believes they are lying.

Programming programming programming. From the video of MY18GT breaking the axle on the 1-2 shift, I think Ford has a very aggressive shift programming...at least in drag mode.

The '18 Auto GT PP's should be door to door with our auto SS's. The M6 GT's will still get cars put on them by the M6 SS's no matter how many PP's ford bolts to them. When the SS's gets the 10 spd auto, they'll go back to gapping the GT's. And so on and so forth.

Well of course they can be since tracking it voids the warranty.

LMR car runs= no drag mode

Lund car = all run were made in " track mode with advance track off" so they didn't use the drag mode. They just confirm it to me this morning!

Smith run was most certainly run with "drag mode on " to get that timeslip.

One thing for sure the 2018 mustang GT in stock form is way faster than the 2011-2017 GT!
The car is heavier and have a lot more mph. The power is there for sure!
That's probably a good thing for future 2019 Camaro owner I guess as GM certainly taking notes!

That's normal you can seat there for 5 minutes the time start when the car leave the line but there also something call roll out. You get free time because the timer start only when both beam are not block anymore by the front wheels/tires. So when you start to move if a beam is still broken the time doesn't start right away.

HR lying, no....Ford possibly. Remember the Ecoboost tests by MT showing the car was consistently slower than the 1st media car they reviewed every time they retested it. Could Ford have left their own performance tune in it? It's possible, but I'm not reaching for conspiracies either. Just that something happened to the EB Mustangs before.

1st off I'm still waiting for proof a PP w/o MagRide doesn't have Drag Mode. Maybe you missed that with all the useless banter in this thread.

2nd, Lund car is a non PP with 3.15s. So of course they didn't have Drag Mode, thought you knew what you were talking about here.
