CF Hydrodipping

Has anyone done carbon fiber hydro dipping on any of their 17 or 18 Zl1 pieces? I'm considering doing the side view mirrors and rear wing if there is a pattern out there close to the GM CF on the hood insert.

I've got a radiator cover plate I had hydro dipped and I bought a hydro dipped bottom steering wheel plate off of eBay.

I'm about to replace the radiator plate with a true carbon fiber cover.

For the steering wheel, I went back to the stock bottom plate. The hydro dipped piece just looked out of place with the carbon fiber dash insert.

Your best bet to match the look of real carbon fiber is to consider carbon fiber skinning.

Google carbon fiber skinning service and you'll find several complaints that offer this service.

One of my friends has a hydro dipping company back in Fla. To be honest with you, i wouldn't put that shit on my car. It never looks like carbon fiber.

No disrespect but either your buddy isnt doing something right or he's using a cheap film. I have a buddy that has been dipping for years as a supplement to his bodyshop buisness.
His Carbon fiber dips look great as all of his stuff does.
