Keeping iPod in armrest holder
I wanna keep my iPod in my armrest holder always hooked up to my USB port but I'm afraid of someone breaking in and stealing my iPod. Is there like a plate or some kind of covering that can fit over the iPod so when you open the armrest you can't get to the iPod? Long shot I know...

I keep my Nano in there all the time. "Some kind of covering," in my car, means a security badge for work, a Post-It notepad, and 3-4 other miscellaneous items. Can't see the Nano unless you dig.

You're afraid someone's going to break into your CAMARO and steal an ipod? I'd care more about them breaking my damned window!

I keep my iPod Nano and Sirius Starmate 4 in the armrest holder as well - frankly as the units and their cables are all inside the holder I didn't think it necessary to hide them further.
My direct experience is that stuff exposed in the car creates a "crime of opportunity" - if it can be seen then a thief will go for it - I had this happen to a radar detector stolen via a smashed passenger window right outside my former townhome. So unless the area is prone to theft regardless of whether stuff is out in the open if they break in they'll uncover the hidden iPod in the armrest holder quick enough. We need to avoid leaving anything else in the car (eg briefcase/computer bag, purse, jacket, mall store shopping bags, etc) which can be seen and that a thief would take the time to break-in for and then seek to maximize the "take".

whenever I park in sketchy areas, I will just toss it in the glove box and lock it. Just have to make sure noone is 'watching' when you do it.
