Android Auto
Is anyone else having difficulty getting their Android phone to work with Android Auto? I've got an '18 SS and the connection keeps dropping out. Most of the time it wont even maintain a connection with the phone long enough for AA to start on the infotainment screen in the car. I've tried a couple of different phones (a Pixel XL and a Galaxy 7) along with different USB cables, and I get the same results every time.

Never had any issues with it working. The only issue I had was that the resolution of the map on my previous phone was crap. It was an HTC M9. Great phone but maybe too old for AA. Changed it for a Pixel 2XL and now it works like a charm

What type of USB cables, OEM? 3rd party ones sometimes cause issues. AA does act up once in a while in both my Camaro and Equinox, both usually only for a split second.

Yes! It is so annoying! My phone won't connect at all, like you had mentioned. It will show up on my phone; then, the infotainment screen will ask if I want to switch from Bluetooth to AA, to which I click "Switch"—nothing happens. I've given up, as mine is no longer under warranty. If you're still within your warranty period, I highly recommend taking it to your dealer! Best of luck!

The Pixel was with an Amazon cable. The S7 was with the OEM cable, and an Amazon cable. Same results across the board. Quote:
My car is still under warranty but I don't like going to the dealer for service unless I absolutely have too. AA isn't a Must Have. It's a ncie to have. |

I have an 18 2ss also. Mine acts up too. I need to try another cable. If not i'll ask the dealer to look at it

Try this:
-Open the Android Auto app on your phone -Go to Settings -Tap "Autolaunch" -Turn "Pocket Detection" off This worked for me when my phone suddenly started having issues connecting. |
