I laughed.

Its still funny ... you just have to frame it the right way. [An American] saying it as a self-deprecating joke regarding America's insularity, its hilarious.

For example, it would have been funny as hell on The Colbert Report with Steven saying it to someone like astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

On one hand, I am glad to see GM quickly reacting to criticism of their products.

On the other hand, why are they screwing it up in the first place? Last gens quickly got an exterior MCE due to being too conservative in their styling. Now this gen getting a quick MCE to fix the interior......

Not to mention the '19 Camaro SS refresh...... It's like GM didn't even pay attention to the harsh reaction the Bumblebee design in the 5th movie got, and still went with it.

This says they rushed the interior so they could bring the truck to market sooner.

Not sure I fully believe it, but maybe.

Really the only part I absolutely hate about the interior is the dual tier glovebox. That just looks awful, ever since the K2XX trucks.

Looks like the 2021 Colorado and Canyon will get minor updates which sounds like it may include some tweaks to grilles and maybe interior tweaks, but not enough to call it a full MCE. Still...I like this news!

I get that if the next gen will be introduced in 2022 or so. At the same time, mid size is becoming hyper competitive. We've got a few mid sizers out there with options GM doesn't even offer.
