Who’s package did you just quote? That’ll help the recommendations.

That appears to be Vengeance Racing's lingo. Even if not, VR specs a very good camshaft, few shops probably have more built LT4s on the road than them. Their stage 3 LT4 cam is a bad mofo and have heard great things about it.

They have a drivability video up too if you search.

I’m running a Cammotion stage 3. It does nick a bit at stops. Other than that it’s smooth running and make incredible power.

Consider having the stock SC ported while your at it. Should be well over 700whp

It's going to require a tune, may be best to ask the tuner what they recommend.

I've heard of them and cam sounds nice i like that! Was told that if i go with a big cam i have to get a upgraded converter. Does head porting make a difference on boosted cars?

I've searched the website before good products i'm doing homework on either doing a mild cam or big cam? Also heard head porting isn't required on boosted application is that true or not?

Yeah more homework to do lol so i can narrow my selection soon. Is head porting required for a boosted car? I know it helps a lot on a N/A car so i don't know if i should do cam only with support mods or heads/cam?

You will not need a converter upgrade for the VR III cam or nearly any of the cams out there. Boosted cars don't like or need super huge cams or you waste your boost by sending it right out the tailpipes. Cam grinders know that these days and good shops like Vengeance, Texas Speed, RPM, etc. spec cams that are just right. The "Big cam/mild cam" choice is made simple: you can have both. Call Texas Speed, VR, RPM, Weapon-X, Speed Inc, CMS, GP Tuning, CPR, etc. or any of the other dozens of good LT shops out there and talk to them. They will get you exactly what you want. Very little tradeoffs necessary.

Yes, you can get the LT4 heads ported and it's worth 20-40 HP I'd say on average. If you're doing a cam and pulleys, you should get the heads ported. Maybe port the blower/snout while you're at it.

Texas Speed can handle your heads/cam needs. Kong Performance can handle your blower/snout porting. Call them up and get it done.

Call CamMotion and get something ground for you, as opposed to getting pushed into a cam that isn’t really want you want.
