Not sure if you have the version with the large mufflers in the rear or the 4 crimped mufflers. Supposedly the version with the 4 crimped mufflers narrow down on the inside which can be seen when trying to look through them. Does it cause loss of flow? I have no idea add it's probably unlikely for such a company to release a restrictive exhaust. It was just something going around on the forums after RPM performance posted a video about it on a boosted car. Someone else posted about it in another exhaust thread here a few days ago.

That said it definitely is one of the best sounding exhausts for our cars, especially once cammed.

I've been looking for the same. I have Legato mufflers which are a Flowmaster knock-off and a fraction of the cost. They sound good, but I get the little back-firing thing going on... I was told from DynoSteve that if I want deep/loud to look at ARH Mufflers or Borla Touring.

So I'm keeping my eyes (ears) open to see if I can find some clips. You have to understand that everything in your exhaust system effects your tone so that same muffler on your car will sound different than mine if we have different setups...

Good luck on your search and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Truth. That is something that is not mentioned enough.

Hey guys I need some advice. I have a v6 5th gen camaro. And I'm stuck between the American thunder or SS outlaw. Which one is best. Yeah I know v8 this and v8 that but hey I have a v6 and thats that. I need a deep rumble with a great tone while driving. The videos on YouTube are hard to trust because its not live. Any thoughts???

It’s a V6, you can’t get a deep rumble- physics

You can* get a good sounding exhaust system, but it won’t be deep.

Right. If you use an exhaust designed for the V8 Camaro, you risk getting a sound that sounds very similar to a ricer Honda with a fart can. The V6 really needs an exhaust that is designed with it's engine in mind. There are good sounding exhausts for the V6 Camaro. You just have to look around and find out what you like.

This has happened to more than a few people here. They think it's easier to just buy an exhaust that was made for the SS Camaro as they are plentiful. But you wind up wasting a ton of money for something that sounds like ass because it wasn't really designed for your engine. It has nothing to do with 'v8 this and v8 that'. Most of the big names make a system designed and tuned for the V6. For example, a popular exhaust model for the V6 that sounds great is the MRT v1 or v2. They make it in an axle back and catback.

Agree, I've heard some nice V6 with the right setup.

I have the four 3" mufflers, there are two ways to install the mufflers, pointy triangle shaped facing toward the headers, like a straight pipe sound, or, hollow base triangle shape facing toward headers. These small (2-3mm triangles) with the hollow base facing the headers are what gives the exhaust that muscle car rumble.

Frankenstein heads (flow about the same as factory LS7 heads) milled to 11.1 compression, Cam Motion LLSR cam with about 17-19 degree overlap IIRC.
