the thing is i really enjoy modefiying my cars, so by the time they release the Z28 my camaro will be around 550 rwhp

no, the question you should be asking yourself is:

what if in three years, looking back on the z28, corvette, and newest models of the camaro, you feel that the 2010 model was the best looking? you lost out because then you wouldn't be able to find the model you want new. you could only get a used 2010 model.

but, if on the other hand, you get a 2010, then three years down the road a model comes out that you think looks better, trade in for the one you like.

After waiting since 2006 for a Camaro, are you really focussed on whether something else Chevy makes is going to be prettier? Of course, GM is going to make prettier cars. They aren't going to stop making nice cars once the Camaro is built.
