I don't know where you guys meet these losers who make these asinine statements about the V6, but what they think or say means nothing. We know how awesome
both the V6 and V8's are. The haters will always be on the outside looking in.

It's easy for car nuts to get stuck in past decades, where cars like this came with two engines - a good one or a crappy one. They're not used to the idea that this car's offered with a good engine or a better one. Maybe next year when Ford's offering its own 300+hp V6 Mustang, those people will finally get the hint.

I don't know if the new HP numbers have been confirmed, but yes, next years mustangs will be beefed up. Expect the V6 to have at least 270 hp, but more likely 300+ and the V8 to have 400.

Yep, the current 3.7 V6 is rated at 273HP... will be tweaked up to probably around 315HP... Not sure on the torque numbers...

My problem is i cant decide on v8 or v6.... either way both engines have more hp than my current dd and camaro so its win win for me! lol

I am most likely going to get a 6cyl because it will be my DD so the gas milage will be a plus but i dont know i really want the v8... time will tell.

I guess people think the v6s are junk only because in the 3rd gens they were. lol they could not get out of their own way.... without some help of course (turbo). I personally dont mind the v6s, at least people are buying American again

I had a guy drive up to my house in a beat up late 90's GMC truck and ask what I had and I told him a V6. He said that may be fine for my wife but not a mans car. Then he asks why I didn't get the V8 and I told him the price, fuel eq, and ins but he still says that none of that matters.

I really wanted to ask him what else he drove, were he makes all that money to spend on more HP and why he wasn't driving his V8 2010, but he knows where I live so I did not want to risk new scratches from a stranger.

V6 V8 who gives a crap it's a Camaro I have no problems owning a 2LT/RS V6 it has great power, killer looks, and she is loaded what more can you ask for. Besides the V6 crowd are the rare bunch for the 2010 Camaros

Remember this

2SS (23,160 units) — 62.91%
1SS ( 2,362 units) — 6.42%
2LT (6,388 units) — 17.35%
1LT (4,124 units) — 11.20%
1LS (778 units) — 2.11%
Grand Total: 36,812 units

Just over 10k V6's made v.s 25k for the SS at the time the figures were released

If you're patient enough to wait an extra year or two, you could replace that IROC-Z with a full-blown Z28.

no way, the iroc-z stays lol, too much time invested into it and besides its almost a classic.

Looking to get rid of my jeep for the new camaro.

The z28 is awesome but i cant afford it on my current salary lol

It's funny when you talk to people about them that really have no idea what they're talking about. They hear 304 and shut up. It's quite amusing to say the least. I also like to tell them I left the V8 for the boys
