Front K Member or Engine Cradle Question

Does anyone know the differences between the K member/engine cradle for 2010 to 2011 (GM92248978) and the 2012 to 2015 one (GM 23200940)?

A friend just ordered the later one on fleabay and he has a 2010 car...oops?

If I had to guess it has something to do with electric vs hydraulic steering

Indeed, the hydraulic vs electric steering may well have different mounting holes?
Just need to know if it could be made to fit or if it's a total no no?

The one for electric has different mounting holes, but still has the original
hydraulic power rack bolt locations.

Many thanks for that information, appreciated.

Hopefully the newer 2012 -2015 part will be ok on a 2010 car with hydraulic rack.

My fellow Camaro driver (we are in the UK), bought the part by mistake, and it's non returnable.

The extra cost to ship to the UK and pay out import duties took the price from $350 to buy the part, up to $1015 so he was really hoping he had not made a costly error
