Resetting the computer
So I was wondering if I am able to disconnect the terminals and touch them together to drain the computer.
I cleaned the throttle body and now the it’s sticks at 2k rpm when going out of gear into neutral until complete stop.I heard doing this helps the computer re learn the idle faster. Is this ok to do and if can I bridge the gap with jump starting wires since I don’t think they reach each other. And how long should I keep them together like 30min?

Yep. That's about as far as I would take this. The electronics in these cars are extremely sensitive.

However simply pulling the battery terminals off for a few hours should suffice.

Well thanks guys! I disconnected both cables over night about 18hours total and when put back on and drove it’s way better now! Instead of revving to 2k it only goes up to about 950-1k now. Also the throttle response is way more smooth. So hope now it goes back to normal soon.

I pull the negative, then turn the key to ON for a few minutes. Seems to work
