When I was 20, I had a '71 Baracuda with a 440, drum brakes and manual steering. I bought my turbo car in late 2009 because it was cheaper, faster, more reliable and more comfortable than a Gen1 in reasonable shape. Nonetheless, if the GenV was not available, I would be driving a Gen1 with all their quirks.

We have had smog testing her in Ontario Canada for years.until a few years ago they stopped it. Even with a tune my car passed 2 or 3 times with longtubes and tune. In order to pass the test my tuner didn't disable anything if I recall. He simply set all parameters the smog testing would test to "ready"

Obd2 cars have and a pre and post cat o2 sensor. So on the Camaro, this would be 4 o2 sensors. Long tubes likely eliminate two of those as you likely also eliminated cats too, I’m assuming. Are you running all 4 o2 sensors? If not, your tuner would have to some how fix the check engine light.

Naturally! However, beyond being painted ABM how much horsepower can I expect to gain? 50, 60, 70? I hear they’re a must have!

Yep, how does 4 turn into 2? I am curious. Gee, Canada must have some lax laws, aye?

Get one that has nitrous injection, you should be good for a couple hundred to the wheels easy that way
The bs is starting to pile up a bit, probably need a shovel soon!

Unfortunately CA has strict rules about modern engines in classic chassis.
