Cold air intake and noise

I’m probably not normal in this regard but has anyone figured out a way to quiet down a cold air intake? Mine is louder than my exhaust.
And don’t suggest a stock air box because my LFX is in a Chevelle and the Camaro air box won’t fit.
Intake attenuators, baffles, insulation, anything?
Thanks

I know the stock box doesn't fit, but does the stock tube work for you? They had 2 large plastic protruders coming off of it that was used as a sound dampener.

Interesting. I don’t know if the tube/elbow will fit. I’ve got some space from the throttle body to the radiator but I don’t have dimensions on that elbow. Does anyone have one they can measure for me or a cheap one for sale?

Edit: I just measured my car. If the stock elbow were standing upright on a table it would need to be less than 6” tall to clear in my car. Seems from the pics I’ve seen that the elbow might be taller than that.

I don't own my LFX anymore, and returned it to stock before it was sold.

Hopefully someone can get you some measurements

Snapped a couple photos. Looks like you need about 8" of clearance for the elbow. Entire unit is approx 32" wide. If you could find a used one cheap it might be worth picking up and attempting to modify.

Thanks for dimensions. It’s what I was afraid of. Can I get one more dimension from you? How long is the part that slips over the throttle body? I’m wondering if I could trim that down and get closer to where I need to be?
Thanks

Looks like there's a little less than an inch. Still need to have enough material to secure the clamp. Not sure you want to go to wild in that area so you don't disrupt the airflow going into the T/B. I'm curious, you've got a fairly small engine in a huge A-body. What would you be making contact with? Fans, radiator? Any way to move a few things around?

The LFX is actually pretty large as V6 engine go. And the throttle body hangs off the front too.
You can see from the attached pics that the interference would be with the fan on the back of the radiator. The current silicon elbow is a tight radius 3”x3.5” and works well.
It’s just noisy as all hell. A very deep throated sucking noise. Louder than the exhaust at certain load levels.
I thought using the factory elbow with the resonators would help. It looks like I might be able to cut two inches off the stock elbow and use an external rubber boot to put it back together. Or maybe some plastic welding.
Otherwise I guess I’ll go to Pick and Pull and scrounge around for a similar sized resonator I can adapt in there somehow
