We both know that Europe is a different animal altogether. Small countries, short distances, better public transport, all contributing to the fact that cars aren't indispensable for a "normal" lifestyle over there. Heck, I didn't even have a license there for decades.
On point. Last time somebody did list of thins coming in to price of a liter - overall taxes and other forms of "I need that % if you want to sell it" type of scams was hovering around 50%.

Poland is "best cost country" in eyes of American corporations - good engineers, good labor - low wages. And it would be fine - living isn't expensive - housing and food is scaled down to their earnings. But go-juice, cars and whatever you import there (and you import almost everything) has 1st world price tag. And here I have to thank our German friends, for supplying car market Second hand from DE is the main source of used market cars lol.

Sad thing is I believe PL will stay that way forever. There is no urge to become the best, it's always like "they have greener grass" mindset.

Two very recent data points from one station in my neighborhood. I know it isn't as bad as in some places, but man, this is still brutal.

Um. E85 kit needs tune, so both means no warranty right? Just curious...

"Warranty"? What is that?

Okay, I know this lame joke was pretty old... yes, flex fuel means tune, which in turn means no powertrain warranty, but other aspects of the manufacturer's warranty still remain in effect. My hardware is good up to E60-ish, and I mixed E50 at the pump. Still not cheap (sigh).

My local station has raised their E85 price from $3.29 to $3.69 over the past week. Oh well.

"Mixed feelings" part is that I traded in 2011 Fusion with Flex fuel V6 for Camaro... Oh well.

Thank you, I've been tempted to ask that since this thread started...also been wanting to ask "gas prices for Camaro's what?".

Well, of course not, but OP may have thought to add it because most people pump 87 in their cars/trucks and whenever someone talks about "gas prices", the examples are always for regular 87.

A simple “LOL” would have sufficed.

At about $9.00/gal (figure July or August in CA) my wife will be working for nothing. Her entire monthly income will be taken up in the gas for her commute. She will be forced to quit work. You're watching the slow, agonizing death of the middle class. (for the record, that’s economics, not politics)
