Which tire will have better rear traction?

summer temps, dry roads, street cruising, no track time.

Michelin PS4 245/40/20 f&r
(enables a neutral squared set up with true tire rotations)

Michelin A/S 4 275/35/20 on the rear, 245 fronts

I'm trying to maximize tread life here...

I've found summer tires have greater traction than all season tires during summer months.

All season tires tend to have less actual rubber contact per square inch due to tread pattern, grooves, and sipes, while also giving up some rubber compound advantage due to the tire having to remain compliant at low temps.

The extra contact patch given by the 275 might equal the same total rubber area as the 245, but you will still lose out on the rubber compound.

If you are looking at tire life, I just about tripled my tire life by going from the 1LE's factory Goodyears which got about 12-13k miles, to Continentals that have 34k miles and still have plenty of rubber.
Same sizes, and both summer tires.

The extremecontact sport that were just discontinued, and has been replaced with the extremecontact sport 02. I have no experience with those, but I would think they should be similar.
