I just went from a V6 RS to a V8 SS, no doubt in the long run you will want the V8. I had a C7 prior to the RS and thought with 335 hp that would be plenty of HP but it wasn't. The V8 just has so much torque, the sound, totally different driving experience. The only drawback is using premium gas vs regular with the V6.

Thanks everyone for all the tips & opinions, i have a deposit on the LT1 and also spoke with dealer that has the V6,(their dealership policy is they don't take deposits) either is 3 to 4 weeks out estimate based on other units they have sold, also while i wait I'm looking at available SS trims although my budget is in the lower to mid $40's some of those SS trims run higher will update soon.

I'm spending that $1595 on Recaros instead of the A10. I prefer to row my own on any sport/muscle car.

They really help to dress up the LT1 interior, and provide a great driving experience.

But, is that a good trade-off for you?
