1500 miles on BR7EF plugs, rough idle almost stalled
I have a 2013 ZL1 with LT's, 850cc injectors, 2.5" pulley, Flex fuel sensor, tuned and running E60 mostly, running NGK BR7EF plugs gapped to 0.030 I think. It made 622 rwhp on the dyno. For months its run great. About two weeks ago the idle got rougher and it stalled after startup once. Seemed fine for another few days until I took it out last night to bed in some new pads. After decelerating from 80 to 0 it stumbled and almost stalled. It still pulls hard and runs fine driving normal but it just does sound right, like the exhaust note is off.
Is this normal BR7 behavior when the weather gets colder? I'm in FL and it's dropped into the 50's and 60's vs 80's to 100 F. |

haha. To the OP. Do you have any codes? maybe a cracked plug. Check your tune file and see if any engine codes are present or maybe your tuner turned off some of the engine diagnostics.

Check your map sensor and also see if the supercharger bypass valve is working correctly.

I'm going to replace the sensor. I know the bypass valve was adjusted manually during the tune. Not familiar with the process of checking it to see if it's functioning. It makes about 13.5 lbs of boost at the moment

Hopefully the sensor fixes your issue.

don't agree
If your engine was a year or so earlier I would argue the shut off valve is the issue. Ask infidel67 he was the moderator at the beginning of your thread. If there is a fuel error he would know.

Since your running a stock fuel pump it would be a good idea to look at your plugs while its down to make sure its not too lean, personally I prefer the TR7ix @ .030 for ethanol.
P.S. there are so many counterfeit parts on Amazon if the sensor doesn't correct your problem-it might be worth trying one from a known parts supplier. |
