Weld size question
So I went to a shop today to get a price on a set of Welds rears but torn between the Belmonts (bead locks) and the S82 (non bl). Might get both but not sure why. Lol.
The wheel guy tells me he's done a ton of 17inch ZL1s. I'm inclined to believe them because they are a reputable shop but I also know how that can be too. Soo..can it? S82 $3140.00 before Taxes with 305/45/18 Mickey Thompson ET street $3519.00 out the door. Or Belmonts. $2550 before taxes on the S82 With Mickey Thomson 304/45/17 S or R $2880 after taxes and Install with lug nuts. |

What kind of weld are you making, TIG, MIG? Wall thickness?

I know, but when I first saw the thread name, weld size, I thought of welding rather than wheels.

I guess it's easier on the 6th Gen because 17's on a 5th Gen was damn close and a bit of hit and miss. |

My Toyo 345/30ZR19 R888R has such poor street traction, I'm going to leave the MT ET Street R 325/50R15 on it on the street. It's the only tire that has any bite.
