I have been thinking about that for awhile since I knew this question would come up eventually. There's really two choices. A. Hang the amp from the bottom of the shelf and risk possible overheating, or B. make a mount to mount it towards the front of the trunk. I can do B fairly easily. Just have to come up with a solid way to secure the mount. I could make it so the amps could mount on either side. If you wanted it super clean, you could mount it on the front and it would look just like the above photos. And if you wanted them showing, you could mount them facing into the trunk. I'll have to start working on a design for this. Obviously the sooner somebody wants one, the more of a priority it becomes.

Steve,

Count me in on Option A above. I want one of your driver's side boxes with a 12" Kicker, but I can't lose the pass-thru or give up the trunk space on the passenger side to mount the amp.

What would you suggest?

Thanks....Dave

A 12 on one side and a 10 on the other would be sweet. You just have to find a place for the amp. This is the setup I was looking for when I first heard about your boxes.

Like the last guy said, I need the pass thru. (gotta get the golf clubs in there)

A small amp will fit behind the right rear taillight, opposite of the stock amp. You could spend time mounting an amp underneath the rear deck. You will probably need to remove the rear deck to securely mount it.

I gave up on the idea of hacking the battery area for an amp. I didn't want to deal with dealer saying they won't service if they can't access the battery disconnects due to custom fabrication. Hopefully, the OEM battery doesn't leak acid or hydrogen gas.

why doesnt package 8 include a "(1) 5th Gen. Passenger Side Amp Rack"?

Is that because theres enough space to mount the amp on the same box as the sub?

How much to add it?

Do you sell a bracket for the box? How much?

Whats the story with the need for a "knob" or "remote level control"?

(yes, i'm a newbie)

Mainly because I tried to put together a really low cost 10" kit for pkg 8. I figured the guys who are doing the smaller box and 10" sub are probably trying to cut costs somewhere so why not take out the amp rack and really make this a bare bones kit. Secondly if someone selects the passenger side box, then the amp rack isn't gonna work anyway. The amp rack can always be added in separately but only if you get the box for driver's side obviously. I will also mention that if someone wants a cheaper amp mount than our full amp rack, we also offer a bare bones mounting board for the passenger side. Will probably post this up towars spring, but it's available upon request.

As for the remote bass knob it lets you control the bass from your sub independently of the rest of your system. It's really a nice feature to have the added flexibility.

I like the added Bass remote. Gives you lots of flexibility and was REAL easy to install!

so how much is just the bare bones amp mounting board, pm please. So glad the battery is in the trunk no needing to drill through the firewall now or rout elsewhere. My only problem now is whether to go with audio upgrade or exhaust upgrade (magnaflow).

Do you have more info on the amp rack for the passthrough area with the bow tie?
