You might also want to use 3M VHB Tape to provide a better surface contact.

I found it at Hobby Lobby. 1 roll will do one Sill Plate. I only used it on the Drivers side and I have not had a single problem with peeling.

The adhesives on the GM Sill Plates are not very good.

Does anyone know which cars are supposed to come with the sill plates from the factory? My 2LT had them and a 1LT synergy green had them as well from the factory. But there are other LT's (earlier and later VINs) that don't have them.

my 1SS has 'em. Doesn't seem like it comes with a certain option either cuz I didn't get any options (aside from stripes)

My 2LT IOM with IO interior did NOT come with sill plates

Ordered some on Sunday morning. Should have them soon and will be isntalling them when they come in.

I belive its only SS and Synergy Green gets them Thats why i started this so i can put some on my black 2LT

If your 2LT came with them, it was a dealer add-on.

Not all synergys have them :( . I went to get a detailed wash at the dealer n I saw the plates when I opened the door to a ss n I was like damn ! So I'm gonna order mine online now, I wanna get the tranformer one tho looks sick

looks real nice, give's it an even meaner look. I know its corny but for some reason i want the transformer sill, but looking at these makes me think 2x ...ill let u know what I get

where is the masking tape roughly at? did you do that as a guide, as in so many inches from the latch?
I got mine today, went ahead and decided to get them. Dont want anymore scratches. The paper template they gave is horrible. doesnt line up with the latch on the door sill area at all. So do some tape measure tape measurements on doing theirs? what about you guys with the ss models, could you measure from the latch to where the decal starts, Thanks

Yes, the tape was a guide line so that I did the same on both sides.
