I run 12.4 -12.6 with just 2500.00 bucks in Bolt ons, the New GT has some bottle necks that can be freed up cheaply.

The v6 camaro as powerful as it is is a mid to low 14 second car. It sucks and a v6 camry or altima will give it a hard run for the money. No big deal hear for sure. Its average at best/ Dont pretend its a performance car. Still want to race with you 3750 lb beast? Bring it on.

I love the ls3. That is the only savior to this car. The rest of it sucks pretty much. But, That is an awesome engine. Scott got lucky with such a good enginerring. I bet a cup of coffee he had nothing to do with that.

the V6 camaro has less TQ and more weight. . . right? well 2011 refresh if no engine upgrade I will almost guarantee they up the weight due to side impact standards going up. and currently curb weight for manual (base of course) is 3450 lbs, automatic 3500 lbs. I expect to see those numbers rise by 200 lbs at the min. which would give the manual a weight of 3650 and auto 3700. now V-6 camaro manual might have a good shot against a mustang GT auto. . .weight about the same and power loss through the auto being greater then the manual so power about the same at the wheels. so a drivers race? if the manual driver is good. . .all that is saying if ford doesn't up the power. if they do then the mustang would only inch out in lead depending on how much power. . .

can't wait to see this race in person. (with two stock cars).

We still have to do make due with only 325hp until 2011 when the 5.0 comes out. And I still don't know which car I want.

The new GM V6 does not have the sound that some of you are relating to from the rice burners with their tin can exhaust systems.

My 07 CTS V6 sounds awesome thru the whole RPM range and into the 6000+ range....it sounds like a V8 and runs like heck. Give the new version of it a chance on a test drive. I'm sure you won't regret it. You can beat on that motor and have fun doing it.

Theres no reason to go with the V8 unless you're a total horspower idiot like me and many other people on this site (I've got two of them in my boat...not too bright huh?). Its a spare vehicle for me, so it does'nt matter how much gas it uses. But the V6 in this car is not going to disappoint anybody, and if I had to drive it to work every day I would go with it for sure.
