I had a fraternity brother once puke in the back of my Dodge 600(very macho car) It smelled like rotten mustard for about 2 months. Sooooooo sorry that happened man.

This stuff may do the trick... i'd still scrub the hell out of it first. May have to take out the seats though and get every nook and cranny. My sister had a pumpkin spill its guts in her jeep once, and it rotted for months. Was the most horrible smell ever. She eventually had to remove the seats and steam clean the carpet/seats professionally , etc. Wasn't good. I tried the product above on my used car that had the smoker smell covered up by the dealer's detail products. Once they wore off it smelled like nasty, stale smoke. I tried this, and it worked like a charm, hasn't smelled since. GOOD LUCK!

I seriously doubt the puke was intentional. So I wouldn't go after her parents trying to make them responsible. Crap happens. So does puke.
This is one of those "oh s**t!" moments that you simply can't do much about except clean it the best you can. At least a cat didn't pee back there like in my aunt's car (her stupid, useless cat goes everywhere with her). THAT smell is atrocious and Febreeze doesn't even touch it!
