Yup, you can actually rent wheels.
hopeful thinking , but no..if a tire is out of round it will roll harder to its heaviest area and that will cause more wear in that spot...it will then start to wear uneven causing either chop or scalloping after time , which will throw off balance...more vibration...best bet if no other option would be to have it shaved..i know they used to do this a lot with big monster truck tires to not overload the wheels with a lot of weights..had some 44 super swampers done when i was younger..good luck

Not a bad idea, it could be as much as 1 tire getting out of round when you pick up speed and have the weight of the car on the tires.

Just got back from the shop this morning. There is no need for any more tests or speculation. It's the wheels. RIMS. These guys also drove the car and immediately he said I can feel vibration right now. We were doing about 25mph. And the vibration just got worse like normal.

I was of the belief, or maybe I was in denial, that the steering wheel was not vibrating anymore. He was kind of an a-hole and looked at me and said "Look at the wheel... look at my hand..... can you not see that?"

Of course I could see it but no matter, he told me it would be a waste of time to align it or do any further tests because it was a wheel problem. Either tires or rims.

Well, we got back to the shop and they spun each wheel.

It's the wheels. I'm actually pretty shocked here. I can't believe that Savini has had these back twice and they are still coming to me like this. The left rear is very questionable and after spining it he said he'd have that one replaced but it's not the big problem. He said one of those front wheels is terrible. Well, when they spun the left front wheel, which is the one that Rent and Roll told me to have fixed, and the one that we were sending them back to have fixed, and it is AWEFUL. The guys in the shop were laughing. This thing is still totaly wobbly. The video doesn't do it justice but you can still see how bad it is.

Thank you for your input guys, but it's the wheels. I don't need all that runout GM test and specs to know it's the wheels.

Right Rear Wheel

Left Front Wheel

There is runout on all wheels and tires. Here is a general spec from Hunter

Specifications On-Car Off-Car
Radial Runout 0.060 inch (1.524mm) 0.050 inch (1.27mm)
Lateral Runout 0.060 inch (1.524mm) 0.050 inch (1.27mm)

.060 inch is about the thickness of a quarter. the runout does appear to be more than that.

Glad to see youi finally got to the bottom of these wheel vibration problem. But very sorry to see that Savani put you through all this misery for what in the end really seems like an obvious problem all along.

Anyway good luck with your next wheel choice as I have a feeling you won't be staying with the Savani wheels.

I'd say it's about the thickness of 3 quarters. look how far the left front is away from the indicator arm. The rear maybe 2. The other two wheels were doing it as well but much less. Doesn't matter, the guys at the shop thought it was funny.

I didn't.

I guess those wheels were made to look at and not ride on. Hope you get it corrected. You could soon write a book just about your wheel problems.

That left front wheel doesn't look good. The rear one seems about normal from what I've witnessed. Not sure how Savini could have missed that front one being off that much...twice.
