My halo red wire power source is spliced into the brown/purple wire. The resistor is spliced into the blue wire and the other end in the black wire as you can see in my picture. My parking/turn signals come on once I flip the light switch To the right once or all the way & also when I press the fog light button.
There it is my question is answered. When I first read your OP it seem like you only had the same 2 wires as I did. But now i see that you have the 3rd wire (brown/purple). Well i am verified that i can modify my plugs to run that a 3rd wire through to make this mod work for me. Appreciate you guys keeping up with my post. THANK!!!

You do not have to remove your grill. You can install them with your hood just open.

And how do you get a 3rd wire into the plug?

The plug is 2 pieces the one were the wires run in and the other is were the bulb is pluged into. When you do this you will see the 3 prongs on the bulb piece and the 3 female inlets on the wire side. The middle one is not being used. I took off the reed cover on the wire side and made a hole (heated the tip of an ice pick). I am currently searching on parts to run a wire in to this middle hole. I'll post pictures when I get home to give you a better visual of what I am talking about.

EDIT: I will be using this spare middle inlet to run a 3rd wire with a constant 12V source from my headlights so that the white LEDs come on as they should with my driving lights.
