ADM Performance...about to put customer service to the test
Due to the misinterpretation and my obvious poor wording of the original post, I have elected to re-state...
UPS has apparently messed up with the delivery of my package. Took off work today just to wait on it to arrive. They (UPS) state it was delivered, but obviously not ADM is helping me out (even outside business hours). Obviously these guy are good and helpful. I will do business again. I sincerely apologize if it appeared as if I was calling ADM out. It was honestly not the intent. Last edited by general23cmp; 09-07-2010 at 08:31 PM. |

Sounds like more of a UPS customer service issue, but Andy will no doubt get it sorted out. If it makes you feel any better, I had almost the exact same thing happen to me today with an optic for my AR15 that was shipped via USPS.

Agreed, but as the customer, it is an issue between the shipper and ups. I have heard good things about Andy, so I don't doubt he'll make this right. I am just a little nervous about doing business with anyone the first time, especially when it gets into an issue such as this.
When I called ups, that is what they told me as well. They were worthless to me as the recipient. Not too worried as ADM has a good rep... |

You're calling out a business pretty early in the reconciliation process aren't you? Best of luck to you. I can tell you aren't in customer service Have a great day, hope it works out.

Did you read the post at all?? I have all the respect in the world for ADM. They in no way have acted poorly. I have tried my best to state this. I just stated that they will likely be put to the test. If all goes well, I wil provide a post full of praise. It was just simply a post to state "let's see how this goes." This will likely be a feather in their cap.
No use being a jerk, and I definitely wasn't trying to be one. For the record, Andy has already emailed me twice (and they are currently closed). Very nice. |

UPS does not need a signature for Residential delivers.
UPS has a GPS system to see exactly were the driver was when the package dropped off with a satellite view. UPS does not deal with the consignee, they only deal with the shipper. If it was an issue with the shipper then Andy can/will step up. If it was a failure on UPS part Andy will have to file a claim. That takes 5-7 days for the investigation. |

Thanks for the info. That's good. If I were a betting man, I'd bet (no way to prove) that it was dropped off at one of my neighbor's homes. I live in a subdivision where all the houses look the same and are within a few feet of each other, and it would be easily done. In that case (depending on the accuracy of the gps), it will likely look like he was in the right area. None of my neighbors have seen anything, and I trust them. It's a good neighborhood.
Not too worried. It'll likely turn up. There are more important things to worry about. |

I need your phone number sent to my email - admperformance@gmail.com
The UPS REPRESENTITIVE wants to talk to you. An investigation has been started, but will move at a snails pace without your phone number(they said 7-10 business days if they have no phone number) |

He's really on the ball on this...
Hopefully UPS does us right and not the typical "big company" mentality. Hats off to you on the fast response. |

Let's see here... based on what you've said, ADM shipped to the address you provided.. UPS shows it as delivered to your porch at 3:39pm... yet somehow ADM is to blame for this? You then go on to acknowledge that UPS likely delivered your package to the wrong address... yet you have the nerve to point fingers at ADM as if it's their fault and then call them out in a public forum - only, to say you "all the respect in the world for ADM"? Seriously? Funny way of showing it dude... and I don't mean "funny ha ha".
Did you provide the correct address? Are you sure? How'd you pay for it, PayPal? If so, what address does PayPal have on file for you? Is it correct? If so, then who's to say that UPS didn't make a mistake - which you also admitted is possible if not likely. What a joke. ...and then I see that ADM is working with UPS as late as 7:30 pm tonight. If testing customer service is your goal, I'd say ADM is going above and beyond right there - contacting and initiating an investigation/report on your behalf after hours.. no doubt, something Andy was doing without your original post... or subsequent back-peddaling. Perhaps ADM should fly to your location, a new pair of gauges in hand, to demonstrate their level of commitment to their customers? Then again, you'd likely find fault with them for that too. ADM's reputation is stellar - despite dealing with the occasional customer like you - and you'll find a heckuva lot more people here with that point of view than those who don't. I can't wait to see how this turns out... and I hope your package does turn up - and when it does I hope your man enough to put that in print, as you say you will... perhaps acknowledging you've turned the "customer" part of "customer service" on it's ear in the process.

Guys I re-did the wording of the original post. My sincerest apologies if any offense was taken to ADM. It wa not my intention. I knew they are a great company or I wouldn't have purchased anything from them.
I'm going to bite my tongue regarding one of the posters despite the encouragement from the PMs I received telling me to fire back. I will say though that sometimes the way you stand up for someone can negatively affect how people perceive them. Even if you mean well. |
