Anyone have any results or reviews of the Volant? Just got the new 2011 camaro and looking at the Volant w/ powercore or the Injen. Just worried about the injen being so low and the water issue. More info on the water issue with the Injen would be greatly appreciated such as if it floods or rains or what not and what happens if the filter were to get wet? Thanks guys.

I had a Fujita F5 on my old car, but it was similar to the Injen. Never had any trouble with water. One time I went through one of those car washes that washes the underbody, and was like aww sh*%! The engine ran a bit weird on the way home, but was fine afterwards. I drove through winters and rain and never had any problems. You'd have to drive through some really deep water to have any issues, I'd think. Only thing is, since the filter was in the wheel well, getting to it was a real pain! Maybe it's easier on our 'Maros.

I'm actually lookin' at the SLP Blackwing. Maybe not the best gains, but you keep the stock airbox, and save some bucks.

Unless you plan on doing some mud bogging the Water issue should not be an issue.

Ted.

this.
Unless you are going to be in over 2ft of water, the Injen will be fine. The filter is well protected where it is located behind the driver's side foglight/drl.

We reach out to all manufacturers, If we don't have and OK then we don't test they're product.

We like confident Manufacturers, shows they have something worth looking at.

So any problems with a CEL after an install of a CAI or INJEN? I have read alot but dont see anything on it, what about a tune after installed? I have already had JBA shorty headers installed with MRT1.0 exhaust with no problems yet, I have done about 500 miles.

I have not heard of any CAI setting a CEL as long as it is installed properly and your careful with the MAF sensor. I would be more concerned with the JBA shorties, since they have been know to set codes.

Thread jacker!

Though...

I agree, but someone with who has a line with Vince (Trifecta) to change their tune if necessary. Once this is started in another thread I will do the first official "Not me!"

Has anyone had their V6 on the dyno after installing the new Injen short ram intake? After seeing the latest Jannetty test on the V8, it didn't do as well as I expected. I'm not sure if similar results could be expected on the 6?

One concern I have is that the heat shield box doesn't really seal tightly to the front of the car. On the latest V8 test, the temp rise on the Injen was about twice that of the stock box.
