SPEECHless.....
I work in the body shop busines for 30 years as an estimator. It all depends on what is damaged. You have what is known as a tri-color. At $65 or more an hour paint time adds up fast, including blend time. Does it need a new bumper, rear body panel, frame work? Remember $7000 is just an estimate. The adjuster will make his estimate, then if the body shop needs more they file a supplemental damage report. Just take a deep breath and it will be OK>

I don't know what the estimated - only the $$ -- that's probably not including other things they can't see right now since they can't do anything until Insurance send someone out so...
I'm not worried about the $ since it's the other guys fault but...it's just a shock.

Now the other guys insurance company is trying to tell me there is no diminished value b/c it'll be repaired to "before accident" condition -- ya, sure, but no one's gonna want to buy a Car that's had over 10k in damages it's first year of life. (Not that I will ever sell my car but sht happens and now I'm screwed b.c this kid can't be bothered to PAY ATTENTION).

Bunch of jerks. This guy cause 20% of my car's initial value in damamge and that is just magically erased b/c they repaired it?
