Horrible accident involving a 5th Gen Camaro

Another reason why not to speed! 4 year old girl dead! I wish the family all the best. For whoever was driving the Camaro.

Here’s the news footage video. Not sure how long this link will be active. Reporters say a three year old died but the article says 4 year old.

Quote:
NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- A 4-year-old girl is dead after a crash on a South Florida highway Monday night.

The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, witnesses said a black Chevy Camaro was speeding down I-95 when it collided with another vehicle. "Troopers arrived to find a black Chevy Camaro and a green Toyota apparently involved in a rear-end accident," said FHP Lieutenant Alex Annunziato.

Investigators said the speeding Camaro slammed into the Toyota, just south of the 135th Street exit. A mother and her two daughters, ages four and six, were riding in the Toyota. The impact caused the woman's car to burst into flames, with her and her children stuck inside.

Fire rescue and onlookers pulled the mother and her children out of the burning car. Rescue crews transported them to Jackson Memorial Hospital where the woman's 4-year-old daughter later died.

A man and woman were riding in the Camaro. Crews also transported them to the hospital with injuries.

Well, when you have a fairly inexpensive car (LS in video starts at $22,680) with 312HP, you're bound to get a few idiots buying them that don't have a clue how to drive.

Sad story, and I hope the driver of the Camaro gets a nice long visit by bubba. There's no excuse for his (or her) actions.

PS - WSVN's Meteorologist, Julie Durda, is friggin hot.

I agree...keep it on the track...it's hard sometimes, but the consequences can be heavy.

Its true when they say... "With great [horse]power comes great responsibility."

People need to remember a car is a machine that has the ability to kill. Yes, its people that kill people. But when irresponsible people are given keys to a very powerful machine, its a recipe for diaster. A lesson the 4 year old little girl paid for with her life.

I hope the driver gets charged and found guilty of murder of the little girl. At least if that was my little girl thats how I would feel. A guy like this took my brother from me and was never charged with anything but speeding.

My thoughts go out to all those involved.

I'm glad the Camaro did its job and protected its passengers, even though the driver is apparently an idiot.
