where is going to crack exactly? and if it cracks why cant u just patch it up with some more bondo type stuff and paint? obviously it wont be cheap to have it done correctly, just saying

and now see doesnt that look much better molded? thanks kreature, do you have any pictures from further away? but looking at that, it appears that you can still paint along the inner crease and it wodulnt look as bad as people say.... so what would be wrong with painting that molded one black lets say?

I see what you are talking about, Yeah that wouldn't look too bad now that I am looking at the pictures again.

Quick and dirty Photoshop I did.

well actually, what happened with my bumper is that i originally took it to the shop to just have the creases on the outside to be molded into my bumper. The following day i had huge cracks along the creases where it was molded and i guess it was caused from my trip back home and i took it back to my bodyshop to get it fixed. what he did was put some sort of fiberglass material on the backing of the ports to keep it from flexing and i believe he re-bondo the outside creases and repainted it as well.

however, you can see the crease around all of those ports. Has anyone used something like bondo to mold the port into the bumper? If so can you post some pics and how it came out?

2ndly, I was told that if I was to mold them into the bumper, then I shouldnt paint the ports black like I was going to (I have RJT car) becasue there would be no solid line to paint on so it would look ugly. Do you agree with this? or that even if it was molded into the bumper to get rid of the crease, that it would be fine to paint black still

thanks
Just send Joe(ACS) a PM & I`m sure he will be able to answer your Questions..

that looks EPIC Kreature, its amazing what a difference something so simple does for the look of those scoops. they look awesome not molded in, but that looks amazing with no lines around the outside.

Get back to us in the summer when it's hot out. If the molding holds up in hot weather it's legit. 2 months ago was end I'd December - cold outside and materials aren't expanding due to heat.
