I have about 23k on my stock pzeros, and they are getting pretty close to needing to be replaced. My question is should I get the same kind of tire or a different brand, style etc. It should also be noted that I am not familiar with the tire market so I have absolutely no idea what I need to get. I want the same kind of performance I get out of the pzeros, but something with a longer treadlife or better handling would be perfect. Price isn't really an issue, but I don't want to have to pay much more than I would for a new set of pzeros. Anyone have any suggestions?

From the styling point of view, I really like the Pirelli PZeros.

I'm just barely over 4500 miles and I am now looking at a new set of tires since there is no tread left. Treadlife wise i'd say you did well since you got 23k outta them.

Personally stick with what came on the car, they are great tires. If you want something with a little more tread life possibly check into some Hankook or Nitto if you aren't fond of the Pzero's.

What you need to look for is the tires UTQG(Uniform Tire Quality Grading) rating. This basically tells how hard/soft the tire is thus effecting how much treadlife (or miles) you'll be getting from the tire. The lower the number, the softer the tire is and less treadlife. (Someone correct me if I am wrong)

Something cheaper would be preferable, but I also want a tire that performs about the same as the pzeros (I am only concerned with dry/summer performance as the car never gets driven in the rain). I still want a Z rated tire though even if it is only because I like having the ability to go that fast when I want to. Also something with a smoother ride would be fantastic.

I just got a new set of PZero rears form tire rack for 215 each. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me considering my dealer wants 315 each for them

PZeros in the size for the Camaro are a huge bargain at around $215. Put a set on our Porsche Cayenne Turbo which cost $1800. Most other tires in the correct size for the Camaro tend to be a downgrade in perf., ie an all season Continental or other types. Tread wear rating for the PZeros are 220 which is a reasonably soft tire. I got 23000 miles out of my first set. We only get 10000 miles out of a set on the Porsche! I remember when the Acura NSX came out it had Yokohamas on it that had a tread wear of 80! Lasted all of 4000 miles.

Trying not to thread jack but I am in the same boat as the OP, I am looking at the Nitto Invo tires. What are your thoughts about these tires any pro's/con's.

Nitto Invos are good. I'm running 315s in the rear. Tread life I went through 60% of the stock Pzeros in 3 months of driving. The Nittos are about the same I just bought my second set of Nitto Invos Im happy with them good tire for the price.

the nitto invos are a great looking tire and have yet to find a person that hated having them on there ride, thinking about them possibly later in the summer.

I don't understand how you guys are tearing up these tires. I hear about that a lot. I have about 14K and my tires are in great shape. That's with about 4 trips to the track and a lot of rubber in the wheel well. That said, I would be hard pressed to replace them with another set of Pzero's when the time comes. I'm not happy with the performance. I would go with either the Invo or Nitto NT05. I'm hoping the Pzero's last till I can get new rims and it looks like they will.
