Yeah, that's what my friends back in Hawaii mentioned. I noticed when you are looking for a specific type of vehicle, you tend to see a lot of them, vice when you're not paying attention. I didn't realize there were so many tacomas in Hawaii until I had one...
PMO is going to have a busy time starting next week, things are always a mess when 2/3 returns. Hope the guys don't give y'all too much hassle, ha. When do they do the car show in aikahi? Is it the first Saturday of every month?

Being a k9 officer would be a nice ass job.
I was with 1/3 for 4.5 years, just cross decked to 2/3 forbthis deployment, and I'm pretty sure the entire base knows 2/3 for being just that... Turds. They really aren't that bad on deployment, but they know how to party. Thanks for the link. I'll be seeing you around soon.

Ugh, accident in Hawaii Kai backing up traffic. Gave up and went out to dinner instead. Hope a good crowd at Mililani. Was heading out there before the accident backed everyone up.

craig, I wouldnt mind helping you out on your install, just let me know when and ill try my best to guide you through the process.
I remember it took me the whole day because the video that AAC has of the bumper removal is wrong. There are actually 4 bolts to the side that hold the front bumper onto the fender instead of the 3 that AAC shows. I spent countless hours trying to figure out why the hell it wouldnt come off. I figured out later that i was missing one and i finally got it off(i got frustrated at one point where i thought about just yanking the dam thing off). Then, theres the headlight removal which is a PIA and that's a whole another story that i wont go into. Those were the only two time consuming problems that i had during my installation, hopefully it shouldn't take more than a few hours. |

Torx bit, 7 - 12?mm sockets, body fasteners, and bumper comes off pretty easy, if you take off the tires. I tried it with tires on and can't see/reach bolts plus front rims are 20x10. Turning them doesn't help. 10-20 minutes to lift car and pull off bumper. I don't know about the rest of the steps. I can bring a jack, stands, tire chocks, etc. Have electrical tools and multimeter. Assuming the kit comes complete with all hardware... |
