Thanks to both of you. I appreciate the information. $2000 more a year is not bad at all.

Cheapest V8 I have seen in Phoenix is about 38 grand. That's about 12 thousand more than a decent V6. A lot of money for power you can't really use. (Not to mention the insurance difference.) But, if you got the bucks to blow...do it.

its more than the power, its the sounds, and feel of the car. yes its worth it.
+1 49 going on 16. Had to haul a few small house plants for the wife. First time to have seat down and wow sounds even better (stock exhaust at moment) Turned radio down and left seat down. Can't wait for Catback install.

Seriously think about it though. Will you be living above your means with the extra outlay of cash? Will you need the money for school, gas etc.? There is always tomorrow but you never know what tomorrow might bring.Only you can make the decision just think about it first and if you go for it enjoy it.

The catch is, the car payment would be a little more than the $500 a month payment I am currently paying and that I will have to pay 100% of my insurance. Something I would also like to know is how much the rates are for a 19 year old with a brand new V8 Camaro. Any help is appreciated. Thanks camaro5er's.
hot damn that's a big payment

Believe me I wish I had not spent so much money on cars when I was in my 20's, I would have a lot more money saved now that I am retired. Used to be I had money but no time to enjoy it, now I have time but no money.

If you can get your hands on an SS and you can afford the extra payments, by all means get it.

Would you rather have an SL500 or an SL65 BS? The comparison is more rash but drives the point home IMHO. Never settle for less in regards to anything in your life, including a Camaro .

you are being given a second chance to make something right, do it!!!! Haven't u been paying attention? .....here, we are averaging one V6 trade up to SS, every week. Your little bro is going to be happy with the V6, adequate power and great looks!

Well Im assuming if you test drive it you will want to go through with it but here some things to think about

1. You can always probaly borrow your brothers
2. I know not the fun thing to hear but you can do a lot investing wise with 140 a month
3 You can spend the extra money on other toys jet ski payments, motorcylcles clothes or just having fun ect
4.You have a awesome car already probaly does more than its job for you look wise cool wise ect will always be somthing faster more powerful, throw a cai, exhaust or nitous in it if you want the power boost or see option one

Iin the end up to you and your parents

The bottom line is, he wants an RS EXACTLY like mine. I would upgrade to an SS if the opportunity was there. I can afford an SS no problem.
You're only 18, the RS is plenty fast for you too.
