I honestly didn't mean for any part of my response to sound nearly as harsh as it looks. Bad proofreading on my part.

Looking forward to any new info. Mine noise is passenger side, behind our the little 1/3 window. Essentially where the 'C' pillar would be with a hard top. The noise comes and goes almost like a light switch, below 52-54 mph nothing, above, the noise starts. Declerate below 52/54, again, goes away. There's gotta be some force from the airflow moving or deforming the top creating the noise that doesn't happen at slower speeds/airflow velocities. |

On the wind noise - good news! Finally managed to schedule my car in for a look-see at the wind noise problem as well as the high-speed vibration. Dealer agreed that my car was a quite a bit more "windy" than another convert they compared it against.
I don't know what they adjusted, but it made a huge difference in the wind noise I was having from the driver's side front window/A-pillar/header area. Now it is about what I would expect - from the front at least. Still more wind noise from the rear C-pillars than I would like, but not too annoying and doesn't sound like any adjustment is going to change it any. Thanks to Jeff for the help and logging a case on this. Still, somewhat disappointing to me that it's not as quiet as my 2000 Z28 Convert at speed. Airflow just must not be as well managed I guess. No progress on the vibration yet - but I'll post that to another thread. |

My 11 was pretty quiet when I first purchased it, but when they did service work on it I had alot of wind noise. Not sure why they can't get the same factory seal. I hope my 12 won't be noisy.

Just got my vert back from the shop today. They replaced the rear window motor regulators (the whole motor assembly actually) and I had them look into the wind noise I was experiencing. To back up a step, until reading posts in this forum I didn't think the wind noise from the rear corners was an issue other than life with a ragtop. Before bringing it in (which I had to anyway for the rear window grind) I referenced #PI0565 - dated Sept. 13, 2011 - "Wind Noise from Rear Quarter Glass". The technician drove it and agreed it was excessive. They applied the recommended fix and it has been greatly reduced. Now I actually hear wind noise from my top left, which is ether normal or not normal and I just couldn't hear it before. Anyway, i am much more satisfied with my 43k car now.

As this is my first time ever owning a vert, I am not sure how much wind noise is normal.
I too have wind noise at 60 mph and above.Seems to be coming from the rear window area.No water leaks. anyway, my vert is going into winter storage shortly until spring.By then I think all the problems should be addressed and I will have my dealer look at it then. Id like to reiterate again for everyone- I have ZERO wind noise in mine, even at extended speeds over 100 MPH!
It was just as silent when bought, got rediculously loud after the top replacement (s) and, after being worked on by competent engineers, its now once again silent. DONT ACCEPT THE WIND NOISE AS "NORMAL!"

I will have mine looked at in the spring after the long winter hibernation. I am a little envious that you are able to drive yours all year long!!! When storage day comes it will be sad and it is fast approaching |

What wind noise?
I'll probably never know if my 2011 convertible has a wind noise because I couldn't hear it over the rumbling of the 650 horse Lingenfelter motor and the American Racing long tubes with Corsas. It won't bother me in any event, but whatever noise it makes sure turns heads around here. I'm impressed with the car, and it's probably as quick and as loud as my CTS V.

Great thread! Just to summarize:
Wind noise from the rear - TSB#PI0565 Wind noise from the front - TSB#PI0482 I'm having a whistle noise from the rear. Also just so you folks who say there should be noise coming from the top because it's a convertible you should know I owned a 2006 Mustang Vert before this car. It never had holes put in the top (due to a bad design) or made any noise whatsoever. So if Chevy is going to make a quality car in my mind they are going to have to do as good or better than my FORD.
