Man, you don’t know how pissed off I was... They did give me a loaner V6 Camaro until my V8 is ready but it doesn't even compare. But I was satisfied because they weren't any V8s on the lot... I tried on both options but no dice, so I just told them take it off.

I’m getting the feeling I picked the wrong dealership. Did I mention that they tried to hit me with an extra $4,000+ for the GFX? My mouth dropped when he told me. I told him to just take it off my numbers and recalculate without it. Is that crazy or what? I figure I’ll just get it from elsewhere and it’ll be cheaper. Hell, I could probably put it on myself.

$4000!!!! that is absolutely insane - You didn't order them with the car? Screw them - there are plently of shops that will install them for less. I think shopchevyparts is selling the kits way less than what gm asks. check them out.

Insane? Yes!... I tried ordering them with the car but for some odd reason it couldn’t be done with the $45th edition. I'll check out shopchevyparts though. Thanks

I noticed that, You can't order much once you selectthat option -there are many restrictions on the the 45th edition.

Interesting because I noticed this on my way to work the other day as well.. the car seems to shake a tiny bit while idling at a light or whatnot. Not that it bothers me, as said above, it's just like the older Camaros


Side note- how are we liking our cars? Is anyone still waiting for theirs?

That really sucks!! It's like they didn't even make a note of your request to have it taken off. I'm in NY and the state requires a front plate so mine was already drilled when I took delivery but I was expecting it... To be honest it doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought. I hope it all works out for you. And yeah there's no way that the GFX package is $4000. You could probably get it for 1/3 of that price.

I'm still waiting for mine. GMConnects still has me at 4B00 since 9/27. Chevy.com just says Shipped/En Route.
I called my dealer on Friday (9/7) and he said it's been out for 4-5 days, and that the truck should bring it between Wednesday and Saturday.

Hopefully I'll get it by the weekend!

Finally I received delivery yesterday. She looks so amazing! My fascia looks brand new again since they removed the license plate bracket. She drives smooth and yes Johng57, I did stall it a couple times. Once leaving the dealership and once at the light. Don’t tell anyone but I got her up to 115mph yesterday on the way home. I just had to do it. Hopefully I can take some pics today. When I got home yesterday it was raining cats and dogs here in coastal GA.

On another note - Got the 35% tint done on Monday, and I'm getting my SW catback installed tomorrow. . I was pleased by the sound of the stock exhaust, but the retro chambered catback should take it up a notch or two.

How do you guys like your stock exhaust?
