D and S can be tuned totally separately from each other, no problem.

To me it looks like the only thing you won't be able to tune independantly is transmission torque management.
Shift speed, shift time, shift firmness, and TCC can be adjusted however you like for both D and S modes.

You can definitely do different trans tunes for each. Hit up Jeremy Formato with Fasterproms.

I know for sure D and S can be programmed differently in the tranny tune. Mine is tuned to shift more aggressively in S.

Send him and E-mail he will hook you up. He did my dads tune and changed the car. Now when he puts it in sport mode it barks the tires when it shifts, the transmission tune makes the biggest difference.

in the solstice forums there's an after market tune that can be engaged by pressing the Traction control button or the cruise control button... I don't see why this can't be done in the camaro... but then again, I don't know anything about tuning cars.
