Once you get your mirrors adjusted properly, the biggest bling spot left is created by the mirror on the windshield.

I traded a lifted crew cab silverado for the camaro and had no issues with visibility, I guess it just depends on the person.

It's going to take some getting used to for sure. I know when I first drove mine I thought I should have a MG42 instead of a steering wheel. But after awhile you get used to it and it's a non-issue. Shouldn't be anything you WOULDN'T buy the car for....

I don't care what anyone say, these cars have the worst blind spot I've ever encountered. Forget looking out the back window and your rear quarter. Only relying on your side view mirror to make sure there's no cars next to you when you need to switch lanes is scary.

All that don't seem to really matter in my camaro though since I love the car sooo much but when someone ask about blind spots I have to give to them my opinion as honest as possible, it freaking SUCK!

I found out about one today... When you have to turn left, and the road you've got to turn into sits right behind the back window pillar... damn hard to see. Just avoided a volvo that was in that blind spot...

Probably no worse than these and a host of others that no one complained about at the time.

Hehe... I'm not complaining :-)

Just something I'll pay more attention to next time I'm in a similar situation.

I've been reading and reading about the Camaro and how terrible the blind spots are and it worried me a little. I'm used to driving a lifted crew cab truck so I'm partial to looking back out of the rear door glass to see what's there.

Are they THAT bad?
Not bad its just that today people really nit pick and are spoiled if things are not perfect. Some people on the net have an agenda to discredit and promote other cars for personal/bizness agendas. Take for instance the trunk space some car site reviewers made a big issue of the trunk opening and how he couldnt get his golf clubs in. A co-worker has a BMW and his trunk is the size of a glove box but I have not seen one article of a reviewer focus on the lack of trunk space.

I would not be caught dead with one of those. Must be a female thing.

You might even be tempted one day to merge without checking everything or while concentrating on the wrong source. Sure, you may not have any blind spots, but you might be concentrating on the wrong area and the overall visibility isn't great enough to activate your peripheral vision (even though you may be seeing him there). I can think of lots of cars that are better...but that's the price you pay for it's looks. I can live with it and adapt to it, but I try to be careful as well. I studied ergonomics in automobiles as part of master's degree.
Very helpful. Thanks for your input.
