If they ever weld on your car the batts must be disconnected otherwise you got a chance of frying the computers.

Let's see some pics!

Not worried about the added weight to my car. It's just the shipping cost to my country :(

So glad I found this thread!
My Kooks 3" full system sounds awesome but the drone is killing me, I need to get this mod done.

So on a 3" system should I get 2.25" or 2.5" pipes?

the dia of the pipe is not as important as the length, the length determines the freq that is tuned out, and the volume determines the amplitude of the cancelled waves. you want as large a pipe that is practical. if you can make a 2.5" dia loop work, should be good.

i could see a real octopus of tubes of different lengths and diameters all working together to tune different frequencies. of course it would end up being as heavy and ugly as the stocker.

They finally came out with the jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 so I did that and the first thing I downloaded was the SigScope app. I'm right around the same 82-84dB range as you were so I'm going to be going with the 28" pipes like yourself. I'll let you know how everything works out once I am able to do it.

Question: Is the measurement 29" from the initial weld onto the muffler or is it 29" from the 2nd weld? In post 44 you have a bunch of pictures and what I refer to as the "1st weld" is where it is welded into the MRT exhaust. I assume it is 29" from the MRT muffler to the end of the new Helmz pipe but I want to make sure I have all the info before I go to my exhaust guy to do this.

29" should be the length of the entire added-on tube.
I admire someone who will read through a big fat thread like this one. Good luck with your exhaust mod; you'll be happy with the results.

Mine resonates so bad that I might even put the bad sounding stock exhaust back on. I get a high pitch sound vobration that my ears ring for 3 hours after driving the car. Will the J-pipe kill that vibration? Should I put J-pipes and X-pipes? Need advise.........

I found a shop that can do the J-pipe mod but I have doubts that it will fix the high pitch vibration that I hear and my ears hurt. Really now thinking about putting the stock muffler back on and live with tin can sound but no vibration.

I know exactly what you mean about the vibration. I was experiencing the same thing. You could even feel it in the center console. This mod fixed it. I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

With how many people are happy with this mod I find it hard to believe that it wont work for me. I'm just saving up to get it done now at this point. The ebay auction for the pipes though only have 1 left, I'm hoping they get more in and I emailed them inquiring about it since I need 3 to do this.
