slightly modded ss vs my r6
I have a 2004 r6 now. Has only a power commander 3 on it. How well would it do against a a tuboed or supercharged Camaro ss?

An R1 might be able to keep up, i doubt an R6 would though.

It all depends on how much $$$ was sunk into the SS's engine compartment to support a given boost pressure.

At the dragstrip I have gone 10.9 on a bone stock 2005 R6, and 9.8 on a stock 2005 GSXR1000 with a front strap. MPH were around 118 and 142. You have the advantage from a stop where the Camaro is very traction limited.

idk about that. the camaro would have to have ALOT of work done to be able to take any 1K bike. I know some 700+rwhp vettes that get beat by 1k bikes

Well a bone stock r6 can trap mid 120's. New 600's like a zx6r can trap as high as 132 or so stock. So I say a 600 will do a good job against a supercharged Camaro.

You better trap at least 128 to try even a 600 now adays. Especially on a roll since that is where the bike will shine getting deep in its first gear. My buddy's new zx10r runs 104mph in first

None of the tracks that I race at will let a motorcycle and a car race against each other which I believe is for insurance reasons. From what I've seen though I don't think that very many street driven cars are going to be able to handle a modern Super Bike on the track though. The power to weight ratio is definately in favor of the R6 over a car.Rider ability is the only thing that holds a motorcycle back on the track.

Your bike is easily a mid 10 sec bike. You should win. If you don't you can always change your sprockets and go a little quicker....

From a roll a supercharged and cam camaro will pull away from any 600, I have several times, from a dig the bike will win because of traction.
At my track they run bikes and cars together sometimes, I haven't seen a 600 run any faster than very high 10's to low 11's, my stretched and lowered zx14 runs high 8's at 150+ for reference. |

bikes have a massive advantage on the street.
up to the 1/4 mile mark they are hard to beat. cars with significant power do gain the advantage as speeds increase though, because of aerodynamics. |
