Not everyone is a performance nut. Not everyone wants their car to be a sort of status symbol. And not all of these people are over 60. There are plenty of people out there who just want a nice car, with plenty of features, that can isolate them from the world as they're driving to and from work. It doesn't need to be fast, in a straight line or a corner. It doesn't need to be flashy. It just needs to be a really nice car. That should be the target for Buick. Let Cadillac take care of customers who want something 'more' than that, and then there's Chevy for those who'd rather save a few grand & can settle for having a few less features. There's room for everyone, if GM does it right. Would Buick have gone under if it weren't for China? Probably. But it didn't, so there isn't much point in worrying.

Its one thing to be a fan of a car its a whole other ball game getting these 20-30 something's to buy an under-performing $35,310-$39,000 four door performance sedan. You wouldn't be able to call me a fan toady but you could call be a buyer tomorrow if they gave us the AWD 335hp V6 Turbo Opel Insignia OPC in the same price range as the GS. |

^^ That is a sweet car but too bad it would weight more than what we have here in the GS and prolly perform the same with even lower gas mileage and prolly cost more 41k to 45k. Who even knows that the v6 is even emissions compliant for over here in the states.

Absolutely love this car! The only nitpicking thing im not too crazy about is the the huge vents or whatever on the sides of the front fascia. IMO if those were gone this car would be perfect... Love the interior as well!... |
