Subwoofer kit installed today

GM kit #92213214 MTX subwoofer kit 2012 Camaro

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Ok my dealer matched the price from gmpartsdirect added tax was just under 1,000.00 Dollars. Dealer ordered it got it in 3 days.

They installed it today and it was the first time this dealer ever installed the kit in a camaro, so it took the mechanic 2 hours. they only charged me 1 hour to install and I was able to get the vehicle factory warranty coverage.

This kit I highly recommend it It does not take up to much room in the trunk but you do loose the rear seat pass through. it looks very nice and there is the bass gain knob located behind the seat and is very easy to access.

The sound is awesome and it was well worth it. I would recommend it to everybody.

The drawback
1) Extreme headache if volume turned up high
2) Lots of people staring.
3) scared my back window will break.

I'm also looking at this kit. What do you think about its performance compared to hitting up a custom stereo shop for the same or less money?

Finally some nice pics of this kit! answered a lot of questions for me. Im debating this kit or the ******** FARK and aftermarket sub and amps. Not sure how crazy I want to go in the RS. My iroc is getting 2 12s in the well and most likely 1000w amp min. Looks good!!

I have the same thing. I love it. I did have to put new speakers in the rear and doors because the BA speakers are shit and blew up. Chevy covered them the first time and gave me a bunch of bullshit the secound time. I put Focal speakers in and a Arc amp. This spring when I bring my car out I'm puting a new head unit in. I really think for $1000.00 I could of got better then MTX but I'm happy with them. If anyone is interested I'm thinking about selling them just to Focals in a custom set up in the trunk. Make me a offer on them.

What does 1K get you? A box two 10" MTX subs, powered by what? That's a lot of cash for some non competition audio equipment.
