Which one to get?
Hey guys I'm new here. Im looking to purchase my first Camaro by months end. Still having a tough time deciding on which one to get. I really want the SS which is a 2010 orange (1ss) with 27 k miles and an asking price of $30k. Or my other option is a 2010 LT 1SS with 10K miles on it asking price of $25k. Yet the problem is my credit score sucks, so I'm having to put down a lot to achieve my goal $6k for the LT or $7,500 for the ss (cars are at different locations). So I'm asking you guys which ones seems like a better deal? Any inputs would be appreciated.

Seems too high for the 1SS V8 with that many miles. Keep looking or offer less.
You state "2010 LT 1SS with 10K miles...", no such animal. SS is a V8 thing only. LT indicates a V6. I'll guess you mean LT since it's only $25K. To get a better idea of what the cars are worth, you need to list the options that are on each. Things like manual vs. auto, sunroof or no sunroof, RS or no RS package can change the price by thousands.

king25, You have already got some good info....and before you make your choice, root anound in here a bit more and ask a LOT of questions, and of course the SEARCH is Your Friend too. Lots of things to consider, such as the lights....how do you intend to use the car...Daily Driver or Weekend Warrior.....is gas milage a factor.....do you want or will you consider using the car at the track (auto-cross or drag) ALL things to think about......
oh and btw..... Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I know you don't want to hear this, but maybe you should pass on both those vehicles. First of all, both vehicles, especially the SS, are a bit overpriced in my opinion. Both are 2010's and the 2012's are out now. Even though the milage is about right, $30K is alot of $$$$ for someone with a poor credit score. You don't want to stretch your finances thin and end up getting the car repo'd six months from now. Is your job secure? And remember this is an election year, so proceed with caution.
My salesman buddy told me the best time to buy a sports can is late summer, early fall. The worst time is in the spring. Demand goes up at the first sign of warm weather, demand goes down when the leaves on trees start changing colors. |
