You should really know the speeding laws before you break them. I know that around here if you're under 21 you can lose your license for anything that would give you 4 points on it from one ticket(which would include anything more than 24mph over the speed limit). And in addition to that there's a new "super speeder" law where anything 75mph or more on any two lane road or anything over 85mph on any other road in the state gives you an extra $250 to any ticket as well as labeling you as a super speeder on your drivers record and insurance records. So you're lucky you don't live in Georgia or your ticket would have another $250 as well as insurance going WAY up and never catching any breaks from future cops since the first thing they'd see when they pulled your license is that you're a super speeder.

Not when they are using a timing device.... measured distance between 2 points is usually how they do it. look for white lines painted across the lanes thats how they used to do it here before it became too expensive to run aircraft for the purpose of speed enforcement.

I really learned a lesson. This is the first and last time I will lose my license. This SUCKS! This might be why GM put a speed warning option on these cars. What exactly does the warning do? Is it like a alarm?

Just take the next 60 days to think about how desperately you need a legal right to drive a car.

Most people don't think about that until after the right is removed or after something terrible happens such as someone dying.
I agree I lost my License 12 years ago for doing 130 in a 65 ,(on my hayabusa)that was the longest 30 days ever ,I couldnt get my ladders ,saws etc on the bus I lost several contracts ,

You can set it for whatever MPH you want and it will go
off when you reach that speed.

I know the suspension part sucks, but you lucked out on the fine. I got a ticket for 80 in a 70 zone (was actually going 81) and my ticket was over $200. For 10 over...

The other thing to look at is 20+ over 65 is a dangerous speed and a wreck at that speed usually kills. The higher the limit the less tolerance is allowed in most cases and is true here. Seen our judge hundreds of times take the licenses.

I wonder if I can still go to a dragstrip and race.
Really? You need to ask that?
