DISABLING TPMS
Does anyone know how to disable the TPMS, and is it worth the trouble.

no way to disable it really. I mean if you put wheels on that don't have the TPMS sensors in them that could do it. But the TPMS screen on the DIC would keep telling you to check the sensors.

yeah, I was hoping that all you could do is pull a fuse, but if I can't, then I can't.

You can build a sort of pipe bomb with a air stem on it out of pvc, toss your tpms's in it, seal it and air it up. Toss that in the trunk and you are good no matter what tires you run. It's been done.

TPMS is a federally mandated safety feature. I don't think a dealership can disable it, but if they can and do, there opening themselves up to a lot of liability. If you find a dealership that can and will disable your TPMS, I see Black Suburbans in there future.

the sensors have to move to register some times though. the pipe trick quit working I'm pretty sure...well, I guess if it rocked around it would be OK.
