Nice 60' times on 20" DR's. There is an Official 60 ft/times list now that was recently added as a sticky. You should post your times:

I'm sure I don't have the slip anymore. I'll get some new time when my 9" goes in the car.

Ive had high hp awd cars and high hp rear wheel drive cars. Look at the gtr's 0-60 (2.9sec) on street tires and imagine a modified camaro on street tires doing that without a drag radial. They are similar in weight. On the street an awd car is the better platform. They feel grounded in the rain, launch better, and are safer. The guys that have driven them know. Are they as fun? Sure they can be, it depends how much you enjoy hooking up vs breaking the tires loose. Now take an awd car to the strip where your competing against cars with slicks and a sticky track and the added awd weight works against you.
For street AWD > RWD
For strip RWD > AWD
For fun?? Donuts in the snow vs donuts on the pavement
Both are great platforms, and I wouldnt mind having a awd supercharged camaro if they could keep it under 4k on weight.

When I first got my '10 and took it to the track my 60' times sucked. Too much spin and too much power. Did a few suspension mods and my 60' times came down. I now have a complete Pedders XA drag package, BMR Lower Control Arms, BMR Adjustable Toe Rods Toe Rods and a BMR Sub-frame Connector. Even with all these mods my 60' times did not get that much better, maybe from a 2 to a 1.8. Add MT drag radials and my 60' went from 1.8 to 1.6. Next change is tire size I want to see what a 17" vs a 20" will do.

Top fuel dragsters.. 0- 300 in less than 4 seconds.. is rear wheel drive.. just because you can't put the power down or can't get off the line. It's your skill and your setup. If its to heavy.. lose weight needs more traction wider stickier tires. Awd vs rwd is merely a preference. Hammering down may not always be the best bet. I have seen better launches with my stick when a couple hundred rpm less than the launch control.

Someone on here was building a frankenstein 2010 a couple years ago for SEMA that I think was AWD. It was some bastardized combo of first and fifth gens...

Nevermind...the link is IT. Sorry.

so here is a thought if ya got the cash like that you can either get a cts AWD drive train and try to plug that in OR buy an entire cts AWD and put an LSA crate in there

it would be interesting to see how hard it would be to fit the cts stuff in. I am not a fan of awd stuff but it would be neat to see a modern muscle car light up all 4 wheels in the water box
