I was "that" close...

To purchasing this SS last Thursday.. The sticker said $35K, the stealership marked it up $4K bringing the total to $39K+change...As bad as i wanted to trade in my 06 Charger, and throw several $$$K down. I could not justify it. surely these will come down in the next 6 mo or so.. this one was a paddle shift A6.. the car felt really nice, but for now, i'll keep my old 4th gen car!

I just got back from a car show in Upland, CA. I actually got to see an IOM 2SS-no RS. Owner walked into dealership in Monrovia and paid 5k over sticker. Crazy. She said she didn't care about the 5k over sticker. If people wouldn't buy them over sticker the dealers would not be able to do this.

Boo paying anything over MSRP - and Hiss to the dealers charging anything over MSRP. You might only get $1K per car in profit going with MSRP, but you'll gain more in good will, word of mouth, and future deals. Anything else is short term thinking!

I concurr..
It's not GM... It's the dealerships..! Some of these local GM's ought to be castrated! Not very "Forward Thinking" are they..?

Granted, there are plenty of people that WILL buy these cars @ any price.. It's a waiting game men, and i have all of the time in the world!

I would love a "Spiral Gray" 6spd SS!!

Once again, thanks for the kind words with regard to my 4th gen... It'sa great car!!

So let's be 100% honest: had it been at MSRP would you have bought it on the spot?

A certain sphincter muscle of mine puckers up even paying MSRP, and I'll accept that just to have a car that brings orgasmic feelings to me. But....Paying over that, I'd feel like I was drugged, raped, and left under a overpass somewhere in Tijuana.

That's one of the promo cars from the Houston events. Can tell by the Camaro windshield banner. Nice car, bad overprice.

Ok, i'll be honest..NO i would not, it was not an M6 and was not a particular color i liked..
If your question is two part meaning "Could i buy it on the spot". Then the answer is YES!

I am a consumer.. It is the salesman's job to sell me that car, not for me to roll over simply so i can have a 5th Gen..

Your point is...?
