Remove Wheel Liner without removing Wheel itself?
Is it possible to remove the front Wheel Liners without removing Wheels?
And get them back in again? I'm trying to access the area behind the CAMARO text on the side so I can rewire these bloody awful UK IVA regulation side indicators and replace them with something darker FYI. ![]() As the weather is so **** in the UK with rain all the time and I do not have a garage I don't want to have the car up on jacks for ages... |

Turn your wheels to one side, get all the locking pins [I think, unless there's a better name] that you can access, BE THOROUGH so you don't have to do it twice. Then turn the wheels to the other side and now access the few you were unable to before. Now just wiggle the liner and with the wheels angled, it should come out easier. I've done this twice with no damages to the wheel or fender. Liner, maybe but WGAF.

Thanks Grimlock.
There is also a small access panel in the front (forward) part of the left wheel liner (maybe the other side too, I've not looked yet) that has 4 screws holding it on. I suppose I leave that as-is, connected to the wheel liner when I remove it? I'm wondering if there is something connected to the liner behind that? |
